By Alexandre Brétinière (photographer) 109 Black and White photographs from Avignon, 16 poems (in French) Format 24.5 x 22 cm, 144 pages Category Beau-livre
Alexandre Brétinière never tires of his city, Avignon. He has been staring at her for years with his gentle gaze, pacing her with his long, rhythmic step. Maybe you ran into him, early in the morning, or late at night? Alexandre, equipped with his camera, shares with this book his benevolent views of a city, with its streets, its architecture and sometimes inhabitants. This is not a guide, but a black and white walk through the city of the popes at the famous bridge. He invited a poet, Louis de La Monneraye, to accompany 16 of his photos with a short poem.
