ANNE-MARIE HUGOT
Anne-Marie Hugot creates and manufactures her works in porcelain in her workshop situated at Sorgues, a small town located near Avignon. Her work is comparable to sculpture because each piece of them is modeled by hand. The carved elements are fired at 1280 ° to allow the porcelain to reach its characteristic translucency. The light from porcelain naturally brings elegance to objects.
After a professional career in the world of graphic arts and illustration, she started a way towards pure creation three years ago. Nature, sensitive and fragile, is omnipresent in his creations. "I approach several themes in my work, such as that of metamorphosis. I deliver emotions inspired by meetings, situations and questioning” she explains. "The aesthetic is a result of the imprint of these emotions and of the material itself".
